Round 1

This morning saw mostly B rigs (as the one outlier I quickly changed) and some hefty puffs that were at times almost too much for a b rig. James resurrected a 15 year old IOM and got it going quite well (mostly) and it was good to see Ian and Matthias sticking with the racing group and finishing each time. Barrie and John will try and tell you that they lost due to weed on the first and second race and did plead for a discard, but were promptly refused (I was still sore from last weekend). Well done to everyone for surviving the wind and packing it up not a minute before the rain came.

Round 2

A very very cold, light breeze swept the pond Sunday morning, however 7 races were completed in quick succession, not quick enough for Rumpole's or my liking however! Gloves and transmitters were a frequent appearance. Not many boats ended up competing consistently with Andy, quickly followed by Barrie always by about a few lengths. Everything fell apart by the end of seven races however; between Andy falling to Charlie's previous fate of a ripped sail on the 'deep water' sign (he still almost led the upwind beat with that sail), my unintentional dismantling of my transmitter mid race and the appearance of a 10r. You can tell it went wrong; Barrie won...

The Frenetic 10r is now completely seaworthy, (despite Barrie's IOM almost being faster on the upwind. It needs some tuning.)
